Wooden buffer stop

The wooden buffer stop is made from three offcuts of 35mm pressure treated timber, normally to be found in garden centres for supporting saplings. These are held together with 8mm carriage bolts, and fixed to the rails with screws, using the fishplate mounting holes.
As the run through siding from my turntable is on a slight slope, I attached a coupler pin to the buffer with a piece of string to keep parked wagons from running away.
